Our Story
Why are we called The Nook?
Well, by definition a Nook is a corner or recess, especially one offering seclusion. And that’s what we are - situated on a cosy little corner of South End Green, opposite Hampstead Heath, our hope is to provide a little sanctuary for our customers to enjoy the highest quality coffee, hot chocolate, ice cream and milkshakes.
What we lack in size, we hope to more than make up for in service – you’ll get passionate, friendly and knowledgeable baristas who love a chat. So, pop in and say hello – we’d love to see you.
The Little Things
It’s the little things in life that make us happy.
A wise person (Aesop, if you’re wondering) once said good things come in small packages. And that sums up The Nook perfectly. We’re small, independent & happy that way. We appreciate the little things in life that perhaps don’t change the world, but can lift your spirits, raise a smile, or make our customers’ day just that little bit brighter.
It’s the small, but important details that really matter to us. Whether that’s doing our bit for the environment or being a good neighbour in our local community.
Small Cup, Big Impact
Every year 100 billion coffee cups ends up in landfill globally. Our cups are different. They are lined with water, not plastic which means they are 0% plastic, 100% recyclable and compostable.
Repurposed coffee grounds – we can bag up our used coffee grounds if you want them – they are a wonderful fertiliser and can even be used as an exfoliator. Just come in and ask.
Re-use your cup – and get a discount off your drink for doing a great thing. No re-usable cup? No problem! We sell a small, stylish range in-store and we’ll throw in a free coffee when you buy one!
